Teen Leadership
Teens, if you are looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership skills, gain work experience, and mentor younger kids, then Camp Mendocino’s Leaders in Training (LIT) program is for you!
The program offers a variety of teen leadership activities designed to develop or enhance skills: communication, conflict management, time management and basic youth development. Teens will have the opportunity to participate at the ropes course, go on the over-night hike, swim, do archery and boating, and participate at the talent shows. Teens will also participate in specialty teen programming such as Career Launch and Money Matters.
Participants in the program will assist cabin counselors and activity specialists, manage the Camp canteen, and work in the dinning hall (cleaning tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and assisting with dish washing).
This program provides a great opportunity to get out of the city and into nature! You will live in a pristine redwood forest, swim in a river, and sleep under the stars!
Teens, ages 15-17, can chose from one of the following six sessions.

How to Apply
The program is free to attend, provided the teen fills out both the Leadership Application and Camper Application (see below) and goes through a formal interview process. Interviews will be held in April and May. Dates will be emailed to applicants upon receipt of application.
