The renovation of Camp Mendocino is one of four major capital projects that the Club is undertaking thanks to the Brighter Futures Capital Campaign. Over a 10-year period, begun in 2005, BGCSF is investing $1.6M in the Camp property.

Major projects already completed include: the new challenge course, new paved roadways in the center of Camp, a new jungle gym, the restoration of the Rotary Bridge (main car bridge), upgrades to the PK Lodge, kitchen, and dining hall, a new baseball field, a new stage at the amphitheatre, new basketball courts, a solar energy system at one of the residences, a new Discovery Center for camp exploration and environmental education, and new shower/bathroom facilities for our 8-10 year old girls and our 10-12 year old boys (first two of seven shower/bathroom facilities).

Upcoming projects include: the remaining camper shower/bathroom facilities, staff housing, a new roof on the dining hall, replacement of the old food storage building adjacent to the baseball field, an additional hydro power system, additions to the ropes course, and much more.
