FIRST-TIME CAMPERS

WELCOME TO CAMP!

At Camp Mendocino, we recognize that sending your camper away for the very first time can be scary. Since 1931, we have been provding high-quality programs for young people and we get excited every single time a new camper gets on the bus.

Camp Mendocino is a program of Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF), who has been serving youth of San Francisco since 1891. As part of this important organization, not only do we we share a mission and core values, but our staff receive high-quality training and development from some of the best youth development professionals in the area

OUR MISSION

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco inspires and enables all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

ABOUT BGCSF

Every day, BGCSF welcomes more than 1,850 youth between the ages of seven and 17 to our Clubhouses and School-Based Clubs. Our Clubs are located in neighborhoods where the greatest need exists. We’re open when kids need us most - after school, on most school holidays and all day during the summer.  Clubs offer safe places where young people can learn, grow, and succeed.

OUR WORK IS DRIVEN BY THE CORE VALUES AT BGCSF

Youth First
Commitment to Quality
Integrity
Outcomes-Driven
Professionalism

Teamwork
Collaboration

We take our jobs seriously, and caring for your children is our most important responsibility. Many campers return to Camp Mendocino year after year - some for 10 years as a camper or LIT, before joining us on staff. We are excited to provide the space for your new camper to learn, grow, and experience the magic of the redwoods!
