Traditionally campers are aged 8 to 14, this year we will give the opportunity for 15 year old teens to also choose to be a camper if they don’t want to be on our Leadership Program.
All camper applications must be completed online. A non-refundable $50 deposit per session is due with your application. Full payment and all forms must be submitted at least 14 days before your session begins. See FAQs for more information.

PRICING
Camp Mendocino welcomes all youth to attend our summer camp programs. While many campers are Bay Area residents, we also host youth from all around the country, and internationally!

The prices listed on our website reflect the full cost of attending Camp. However, we are committed to making Camp accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances. We offer scholarships for various groups, and if financial assistance is needed, please review the options below. Scholarships are not determined based on financial information; instead, we ask families to select the level they can afford. Our scholarship funds are limited, but we strive to make Camp Mendocino an option for every camper. If you can pay a higher fee, your contribution helps us provide additional scholarship support to families in need. If you are experiencing significant financial hardship and the options are out of reach for you, please contact our Manager of Camp Administration, Leticia Lima(llima@kidsclub.org), for further assistance.
If you are not a member of BGCSF, we have a no-questions-asked scholarship scale that you can choose on the first page of the application. Please select the appropriate option for your financial need.

I don't need a scholarship.
The full price of a Camp session is $900 for 7-day sessions or $700 for 5-day sessions. If you can afford this amount, we encourage you to select this option and allow for additional scholarships to be available to families in need.
Reduced Rate
For a 7-day session, this option grants a $220 scholarship.
For a 5-day session, this option grants a $150 scholarship.
More Reduced Rate
For a 7-day session, this option grants a $370 scholarship.
For a 5-day session, this option grants a $275 scholarship.
If none of the above options apply, please select the appropriate option for your financial need. We do not determine scholarships based on your financial information, but ask that you choose the level that you can afford. We have limited funds to offer scholarships, but we want to do everything we can to make Camp Mendocino an option for all campers. By choosing a higher fee for your camper when you are able, you are making it possible for us to provide additional scholarship funds to other families. If you are experiencing significant financial hardship, and the below options are out of reach for you, please reach out to our Manager of Camp Administration, Leticia Lima (llima@kidsclub.org).

SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM
Part of the application you fill out for your camper includes an application for the California Department of Education Summer Food Service Program. This allows Camp Mendocino to receive funding for meals served at Camp. All Camp applications include this form. Eligibility for the summer foods program does NOT affect your eligibility for Camp scholarships, nor does it change the price of Camp for families. We offer families the lowest available price, regardless of Summer Foods Program eligibility. For more information on the summer foods program, please click here. Note, the application form is available as part of the online application. The copy on the link above is for informational purposes only.
